People Impacted by UCB Australia's Ministry

Every day, we receive messages from listeners and readers telling us how God has worked through UCB to draw people closer to Himself. Here is just a small selection from listeners and readers who have either come to know Him for the first time, had their faith rekindled or experienced the wonder of prayer answered in a miraculous way.

I want to thank everyone who prayed for us. Just yesterday we received an answer which was nothing short of miraculous. After requesting prayer, I was led to put a proposal to the company which would mean that my department would have employment. Once or twice while I was working on the proposal, I wondered why I was wasting my time. Companies do not reverse their decision to retrench once they have made up their minds. Time would have been better spent updating my CV. However, I kept being brought back to my proposal, and was led by God with Scriptures from Esther 4: 13-14. His Mighty hand then worked after I sent my proposal in. t was approved! The bottom line is that none of my staff are going to be retrenched, and we heard officially yesterday. When receiving the news, my heart was singing: Our God is an awesome God, He reigns from Heaven above! Thank you for your prayer, which God heard and honoured. T

Thank you for all your prayers. Our dear friend has made a full recovery and is now discharged from hospital. It is a true miracle from God because he has defied all the medical odds. He was without a heart beat for over a half an hour and now is with us again. We look forward to hearing his testimony once he is back and also about his mission trip prior to the heart attack.

For 15 months, I have been enduring an emotionally difficult time, which is challenging my trust in God. While I knew there was a Christian radio station, I hadn't known how to find it. About this time last year, I happened to stumble on it in my car & one of the first songs I heard was Blessed be the Name of the Lord... I found Rebecca St James & Newsboys and I am particularly strengthened by Joyce Meyer ... her lessons on mind strategies are particularly timely for me, helping me grow through this dry, painful season. I've listened to Vision over the past few years...I know that radio is such a powerful medium for the Gospel to be shared and believers to be encouraged all over the globe. I am a missionary and have been at home in Australia for the past few months. I know that the The Word for Today has especially encouraged me and the Lord has spoken to me through this devotional time and time again! It never ceases to amaze me how it truly is a "word in season"...I couldn't count the number of times I've read it, and it's been perfect for what I needed to hear on a certain day! Thank you for your faithfulness. "So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time" (Galatians 6:9). MK

I can't begin to tell you how blessed and favoured we are in all aspects of prison life. We are continually and constantly blessed by Vision and the sensational programmes and the teachings available through your broadcasts. We love the mix of DJs and are inspired by your commitment and passion. I am very blessed to be in a unit with a numbers of other brothers who are " full-on" for God. A prayer meeting is held in our unit which is open to the whole prison to attend, and that in itself is because of the miraculous, gracious hand of God. In my unit, one of the 2 our cells (2 inmates) is occupied by brothers. It has become our, don't laugh, "cell group". It's our place to fellowship and shut out the world. We gather together periodically to study God's Word. We are studying James at the moment and that's courtesy of Chuck Missler via Vision FM. BD

We appreciate The Word for Today as we as a family have gone through challenges beyond our comprehension these past 5 years but each morning when we have read The Word for Today it seemed appropriate for our situation. It made our faith rise up and keep hold of what we have in Christ. K

I am so thankful for the simple yet deep and challenging daily readings and insights, not just for myself , but for my son who has committed himself to reading The Word for Today each morning. He has lately been excited to share his faith with workmates who are keen to know the reason his life is different – a huge step for a shy teenager surrounded by hard-working 'hard-living' Aussie blokes. I know God is using UCB resources to further 'the good work' He is perfecting in us and all your other readers and listeners. S

I am now once again at a minimum prison facility and back working in the dairy where I was once before. The story of my journey over these past 3 years has been one of many trials, setbacks, hardships and changes, but thanks to God I have traveled through these and come out the other end an even better person than I could imagine myself ever being. Along these difficult paths I have been blessed greatly so many times through the guidance and encouragement that I have recieved through the daily readings of The Word for Today and word4U2day. It is the sharing and spreading of God's Wordsthrough UCB and other organisations like this that make such a difference. S

word4U2day has been such a blessing to me. I read it every morning, and so often God speaks directly to me about my current circumstances through it. A very special thing that happened last year was that my younger sister had started to go to church for 'special events'. God put it on my heart to give her a subscription to word4U2day for Christmas. I was hesitant; not sure of her reaction, but God kept at me, and I did. She didn't read it for the first month, but started to at the same time she started to go to church more regularly. Once she started reading it she couldn't thank me enough. Several times she has said to me, 'It's the best present ever!' I'm sure that God used word4U2day to help bring her back to him, and 2 months ago she was baptised. Praise God! L

Working as a School Chaplain, I was rapt to receives some copies of word4U2day from UCB. I gave them to the group of students I meet with weekly. These middle school girls are wanting to know who God is and how to connect with Him. I showed them how to use the booklet and gave them New Testaments, then left them to it. About 5 weeks later one of the girls told me that she wanted to ask Jesus to be her Lord. I told her there was a prayer at the back of the booklet and she said that she had already found it. She requested that I pray with her during the lunchbeak because she wanted that day to be her spiritual birthday. So, using the booklet as our guide, another staff member and I ushered her into the Kingdom. It was a really lovely moment-complete with tears of joy! Another girl in the group made the same request a week later coinciding her spiritual birthday with her actual birthday. It's great to have this booklet as a resource for my students, something they can read at their leisure that is obviously impacting their lives. S
