Life is full of ups and downs; we recognise that everyone goes through a point of need or crisis, Most Australians have a foundational belief in God based on the 2001 census, 69% indicated they believe in a Christian faith, therefore prayforme.com.au provides a contact point to for you initiate an element of trust in God to meet your need.
All you have to do is type in your need or request in the box on the home page. We will then forward your request to Christian Churches around Australia and in your local community who are committed to praying for your need 7 days a week. We only ask that you email us back when your prayer has been answered. You may have a terminal illness, or need pray for a family member or friend, you may need employment, or perhaps you've reached breaking point and can't take anymore, in fact you can request any need you may have it doesn't matter how large or small you think it is, As far as God is concerned, everything about your life is of paramount importance to Him.
> How does this work?
Prayforme.com.au is an incentive of PFM Ministries a non-profit organisation whose objectives are to link the people of Australia to Christ and to the local Church.
- We recognise that 69% (some 12.7 million Australians) indicated an affiliation to Christianity in the 2001 census. By way of contrast 4.7 million people (24.9% of the population) did not state or indicate no religious adherence; Australia remains a largely Christian country.
- We recognise that people going through a need or crisis in their life are likely to initiate some form of contact with God; prayforme.com.au provides an opportunity and an outlet for this.
- We recognise the importance and relevance of prayer and believe that as we petition God, He is able and willing to perform miracles today . . . . The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results (James 5:16b NLT).
- We recognise that a church that pray's for the needs of their community develops a natural desire to evangelise.
Therefore our objectives are firstly to provide an access and entry point for Australians to initiate a contact with God which enables a non-intrusive means for people to reach out for support in their time of need or crisis. Secondly provide a link between the community and the local church, and finally to equip, empower and resource the Christian Church in Australia.
Our Mission Statement is to form a greater awareness in Australia of the relevancy of God to the average Australian and developing a pathway enabling people to not only form a relationship with God but also become integrated into the local Church.
